Experience the Beauty of Busan through the Haeundae Sky Capsule
Looking for something fun and relaxing to do during your visit to Busan? Let me recommend the Haeundae Sky Capsule! It’s a 25-30 minute calming ride that’s perfect whether you’re looking to take amazing photos or just enjoy a quiet moment with breathtaking views.
I have been living in Busan for more than a year now, and I'll be honest, it's my first time riding it too. The reason? I didn’t have anyone to go with. But recently, my friends from the Philippines visited Busan, and we made it a point to try it out together. And let me tell you, it was worth it!
What is the Haeundae Sky Capsule?
The Haeundae Sky Capsule is a cute, pastel-colored monorail that runs along the coastline of Haeundae Beach. It’s like having your own little cabin in the sky, offering amazing views of the ocean and the city’s iconic beachside. Each capsule can fit up to four people, so it’s great for couples, friends, or even solo travelers.
The route is about 2 kilometers long, and the capsule moves slowly, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the view and snap photos. It’s definitely one of the most photogenic spots in Busan, so don’t forget your camera or phone!
How Was My Experience?
We got the 4:30PM KST time so that we can see the sun as it sets. Although I think, when we arrived, it was a little bit early for the sunset. But the view was still amazing.
The view of the ocean was so calming, and the pastel-colored capsules added such a dreamy vibe to the whole experience. My friends and I couldn’t stop taking photos to the point that we keep on moving (yes, there is still a small space that's why we can move around).
What I loved the most was how quiet and peaceful the ride was. Even though we were excited and chatting the whole time, it still felt like we were in our own little world above the coastline. Riding the Sky Capsule is really a great way to remove all the stress and sadness in my mind.

Where to Buy Tickets for the Haeundae Sky Capsule?
These are the options you can choose from in order to buy tickets:
Through Klook
Klook is one of the best options to buy tickets for the Haeundae Sky Capsule. You can even use vouchers to get some discounts and the prices can be cheaper than the website.
You can check it out here: Haeundae Sky Capsule
You can still get the same benefits like time slots and international booking when you book through Klook. It's also convenient.
Through the official website
You can also book your tickets in advance through the official website of Haeundae Sky Capsule. I just have to note you, sometimes their payment site only accept Korean cards even if you've chosen a foreign card. I don't know the reason behind it.
Through the ticket office
If you're not sure with your schedule, then you can just walk-in and buy tickets on-site. The cons for this though, is that the time slot you want to enter may be sold out. So it's still recommended to buy online or at least be early so that you can book slots on your preferred time.
Operating Hours & Schedule
